We have eaten here several times in the past, but never whipped out our fancy phone cameras to write a review. Currently they are offering a three course meal starting at $14.95 so we thought that was reason enough to make another visit.
Bravo is a Corporate restaurant headquartered in Columbus Ohio. They have many locations, with one being in Knoxville TN. Their restaurant ambiance is very unique, featuring roman columns and other features that make it look like your eating in Italy. Their open kitchen is fun to see, with the center point being a stone pizza oven. Looks to be gas in there though, not real wood.
The offer we are taking advantage of on this visit is one of three entrees, a salad, and a small dessert. Let’s dig right into the food….
My guest and I both selected house salads, or insalata della casas. Mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, bacon, and a parmesan ranch dressing. There are fried wontons for texture tossed in as well. On the menu it says fried pasta. I asked the server what it was and she replied it was pasta that was fried. Duh. Well, it’s not really. More like fried dough if you want to get technical. Anyways, salads are small put probably the right size. Don;t know how happy i would be paying extra for a salad this small, what the quality was really great and the flavor just as good.
I received the Chicken Milinaise or what anyone else would call it, a chicken parmesan. They took breast meat chicken, pounded it and breaded it in a really tasty panko breadcrumb. There must be some parmesan cheese in the too. Anyways, there were two of these placed atop some linguini that was tossed in a creamy, butter, parmesan concoction. On the top some fresh parmesan cheese, and forming the foundation some pomodoro sauce. A pretty good dish, just the right size.
My wife ordered the Shrimp Diavolo. Looks to be about ten shrimp tossed in a marinara and alfredo sauce with some butter and spice. I have no idea what this pasta shape is, but everything in the dish was delicious. You definitely aren’t going to win any healthy eating awards downing this calorie buster.
Dessert was a selection of three mini desserts. A chocolate brownie, and take on canoli, and one other. The two we selected were very rich and filling.
The service we get at Bravo is always spot on. I would say one of the better restaurants in town if your interested in being taken care of as you should be. Their prices are a little high in my opinion, but they often have some specials, especially in the bar worth checking out..
